Tracy2014

To my Dearest Sister Tracy, one of a kind, one of our own.

You may have expected a little birthday poem but I’m afraid each one I wrote merely turned out to be a justifiably glowing tribute to a most amazing person, memoirs of a versatile and dynamic character and even a checklist of being simply the most lovable person. Weird then that I had to stop one might say. The reason I offer up is that it feels to me like you have only just started living! Every day I see you or speak to you I see that you truly are still a work in progress, a colourful work of art not yet ready to be framed. So, on your special day, I will wish you love to fill that enormous heart of yours, happiness to make your soul shine as only yours can, and a path to freedom that leads you through natures wonderful world to a place as beautiful as you are. May that path be very long. (I would wish you wealth but since it has zero value to you I will offer that wish as one of your very own choice!) In order to give you these special wishes I need to give thanks to those that travelled this crazy road with you and had a hand in creating the woman you now are. To our small family, most influential being Norma, Warren and Gran I say job well done! To Davida I say here is proof, go get it! To Miss Mullins and many others I say who would have thought! To the rest, to name but a few in no particular order and with no necessary relevance: Valhalla and 1 Mil, The Asylum Kids, Siamese Cats, career anchors, Yorkies, Hillbrow back in the day, a small blue Ford Escort, The 13th Street neighbourhood, The Kirton’s, the pink bicycle, your gang from the class of 1982 and all the sick, frail, homeless and people that brought your virtues to the fore I say THANK YOU! A special thank you too to your clearly indefatigable Guardian Angel without whose patience, dedication and commitment this would not have been possible! Have a ridiculously Happy Day today, a breathtaking year ahead and continue to grow, just the way you are! May the stars shine for you, love you lots, Gav
